Hotel Continental, Oslo, Norway ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hotel Continental was one of the most stunning hotels I’ve had the pleasure of staying in. From the moment you walk in you’re greeted by beautiful artwork, fresh flowers and friendly staff.

Checking in was the easiest I’ve seen, the staff already had our key cards activated and ready for us to pick up.

We stayed in a Deluxe Double room, which was fairly large, not your typical European hotel room size. When you first walked in, there was a large closet and mirror to your left, and a lovely hall table on the right. The TV was on the home screen and displayed your name as another way to welcome you to their hotel.

There was a reading nook build into one of the windows, it was the perfect spot to curl up with a great book. The mini bar had a good selection of items, definitely check the price list before cracking open that nice crisp bottle of champagne as it had a hefty price to it.

The bed was comfortable, but the sheets seemed to be on their last life though, they were quite rough in spots and were worn. Downside was that there were 2 twin comforters instead of one king size comfortable. This is quite common in Norway, the reasoning is everyone’s body has different heat levels, and with 2 separate blankets everyone can control their own temperature. I would still prefer the 1 blanket though.

If you’re like me and enjoy a nice bubble bath, this tub would not disappoint you!! It was the perfect depth and length for an everyday bathtub. If you’re not into the bubble baths, there is also a separate glass shower. The Molton Brown bath products were great! (TIP* use as much as you want, because for your nightly turndown service, will restock your mini bottles of lotion!) Another amazing feature of the bathroom was the heated floor! Nothing better than warm toes!!

During our stay here, there was ongoing construction within the hotel. Our room must have been close to where it was happening because the noise was constant. It was so loud the floor was rattling. Had we been staying for more than 1 night, I would have requested to be moved to a room in a different location.

Overall, I really enjoyed my short stay here. It is absolutely worthy of the 5/5 star rating, however due to the construction I have to bump it down to 4/5 stars. I highly recommend checking out this hotel (once the construction is done).

Until next time,
