Hilton Paddington, London, England ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Conveniently located in the Paddington Station, the Hilton Paddington is a perfect hotel for a one night stop over in London. The Heathrow Express takes away all of the worry and hassle of your transportation back to the airport. The hotel lobby is very old school with the wooden walls, and red carpet, but it works. The staff at the front desk was more than helpful, they had over booked the type of room we booked, which got us upgraded to a family sized room.

Having just arrived from the airport, our first stop was to the bar / restaurant that is located in the hotel, “Carriages”. It wasn’t busy at all when the host sat us. We quickly figured out what we wanted to order as we were both starving, however time went on and no servers came around. We probably waited for 20 minutes and then gave up. When we left the hosts didn’t say anything at all, they were more concerned about their conversation. Quite unfortunate, because it instantly tainted my experience at the hotel. Luckily there were a few places in eat within the train station.

The main bedroom had 2 twin beds, TV and the dresser. For our one night stay here, the beds and sheets were wonderful! The curtains had 3 layers, and were great at blocking out the city lights during sleeping. Nothing worse than lights invading your room while you’re trying to sleep. It was a very comfortable room.

The other room was a mix of a bedroom/office. It had a large couch which was also a pull out bed. There was a good size desk, and a large TV. The thing I liked about this room was that the desk had a bunch of electrical plugs in it. They make international hotel stays much more convenient. It was just my partner and myself so we didn’t really need the extra space, however it came in use as I had a killer head cold and my partner enjoyed the other room for working while I rested.

The bathroom was quite large and well lit. The lights on either side of the mirror were helpful for applying makeup. It had a full combination tub/shower and also a glass stand up shower. It even had a telephone by the toilet, just in case haha.

Body products were lovely! The scent wasn’t too overpowering. I liked that the shampoo bottle was a bit larger than normal.

The closet was in the hallway, and offered a decent amount of hanging space for clothing. I’m always a happy camper when I see the hotel robes and slippers, something about them makes it feel more like home.

Overall, I would say our experience was about average due to the service issues at the bar. Had we not had that experience I would give 4/5 stars, but feel they are only deserving of 3/5 stars for my last visit. Even though I’m only giving 3/5 stars, I would still stay here again as it is extremely convenient for transportation to the Heathrow Express.

Until next time,
